In this project, we will cooperate to complete a 90s 3D animation project.
The team members are: Felicia Li, Yueqi Wangzhao, Yimeng Wang (Mandy), Yinuo Wang and Angie Effio Mantilla
Since I was mainly responsible for the story version, after determining the script, Yueqi and I had a two-week discussion about all the details, character actions and plots. After the discussion, we added new characters and plots to enrich the story.


We took reference videos and photos at school, while discussing the content of the picture (just the two of us). The next day, we took pictures of the characters’ movements and angles again in the green screen room (or just the two of us)

In the subsequent story version of the painting, I didn’t encounter too many problems, because I was responsible for the rectification part alone. But other people always want me to draw the full version of the story first and then start making 3D content, which makes our progress very backward.

Finally, we came to the 3D stage. Because I only helped to make the basic shape of Brewbot, I continued to complete the story version. I was not very clear about the progress of others. I waited for a week for them to fix the bug (I knew that we could start production in advance, but Yueqi said that if there was a problem and needed the teacher’s help, I could only cooperate with her to complete the follow-up work. I hardly discussed the work with others. They sometimes left early, and some people did not come to school)

I made a 2D frame-by-frame animation for our film as the opening.(21pages

I edited all the previous storyboard videos. Yueqi helped me organise the shots together, so we began to make 3D animations. There are many problems with the binding of characters. It is difficult for us to fix them after asking the teacher many times, so we can only try our best to do it.

Although it was difficult at the end, Yueqi and I still didn’t give up. We thought of a lot of ways, and the teachers also helped us patiently. We are very grateful. Unfortunately, when we encountered these difficulties, it was difficult for our other team members to keep in touch with us. We had to plan for the worst, which also led to our failure to complete our final animation.




From this group study, I also found a lot of problems and learned a lot. First of all, when making 3D, if you encounter difficulties and the teacher is not around, you should try and explore more by yourself. Don’t be afraid to face problems. Although it may not be successful, I am more and more familiar with Blender in the trial. Teachers can’t help us all our lives, and we have to rely on ourselves in the end.

Finally, if your team members are not proactive, you must always remind them not to be shy. If there is no leader in a group, everyone will be more lazy. I think that as a member of this group, I should lead more of my group members and be stricter for myself and everyone, otherwise I will not be able to complete the tasks that should be completed as I do now.
